We went to Damariscotta (Maine... of course) for the day.

My parent's had a medical appointment, but since the Axeman wanted us out of the house so he could finish some projects we decided to make a day of it...

First we went to the Newcastle Publick House for lunch...
(I highly recommend it, if you find yourself in the area.)
Technically it's across the bridge in Newcastle... but you can see Damariscotta from there, so that counts right?

The food was amazing...

I had the enormous (and yummy) "Pub Burger" with cheddar and bacon (of course)...

The food was so good it made us silly...

See...

Even my mom and the hostess got in on it...

Alas... they were harder to catch on film...

After lunch we explored downtown (during their appointment)...

And the waterfront area... right behind the downtown...

The girlies surprised me with a new wallet, and we picked up some Banana Republic jeans for Cate for $12.00 and 6 American Eagle tees for sparky at 4.00 each at Renny's (a local discount chain)...

Later we picked up my parents and headed over to Round-Top Ice Cream for a final treat...
I have heard about Round-Top Ice Cream my whole life, but have never been...
Frankly, I like Dorman's (I talked about it here) better, but it was very good...
I mean, rarely have I had bad homemade ice-cream...

Over-all a fun day for everyone, and the Axeman got tons done... Which makes him very happy!

Thanks for listening,
