Tuesday 2:30 AM
Our sweet Cate has a boyfriend. I haven't shared this yet since their relationship is kinda new and they are taking it very slow. Both her and her guy are very serious kids who take dating very seriously. We like this boy a lot. I will fill you in more on all of this later...
About two hours ago Cate, Sparky, her guy, another friend of theirs and I were hanging out in our living room. Paul had just headed to bed so we were kinda wrapping things up, when her guy's dad called. His brother who is 27 is in intensive care. He felt like he had the flu all week and stayed home from work the last two days. Tonight around 7 PM he went lethargic and was rushed to the hospital. He has a blood infection and they don't think he will make it. Cate and her guy left not knowing this, only knowing his brother is seriously ill... His mom called to make sure they were on the way and filled me in. I don't know what they will find at the end of their two hour drive to Bangor... His brother has led a rough life, running from God pretty non-stop... He does not know the LORD as far as anyone knows. He has a baby on the way with his girlfriend... Everything about this is... tragic, for lack of a better word... PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE PRAY!
Update: At 6:40 this morning his brother passed away. Please pray with me.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. (MT 5:4) I claim this promise for this family right now in the name of Jehovah-Shalom, The LORD, our peace. Amen.
Thanks for listening,
