Maine just repealed a law they have had since I was a kid making fireworks illegal...


Alas it doesn't go into effect until next year, so for this year "sparklers" were are as hardcore as we were allowed.


I almost didn't bother, I mean the girlies are a little on the old side for "sparklers" and besides they had plans with friends...


But at the last minute I got nostalgic... I mean, with Cate going off to college in a few weeks and Sparky starting her junior year how many more "sparklers" years do I have?


Not many...


I am so very glad I bought them....


We had such a good time... It turns out they were kinda nostalgic too...


Sometimes it's the simple things.
