The Last Dance... Part One...

Thursday, July 19, 2012

We got Katy & Jed's wedding photos back yesterday and I wanted to share some of them with you...
I don't want to overwhelm you in photos, so I will do the getting ready and ceremony today and the formals and reception tomorrow... Don't worry, these will be the last posts about Katy's wedding (unless I change my mind), before I drone on and on about the next one...

Getting Ready:

Allison did all the girls hair and make-up... We didn't decide to do this just to save money but because she is really, really good at it and after talking to a couple hair dressers we decided the only way we would be sure to have exactly what they want was to have Allison do it... The money savings was a bonus though!

Sisters...

The flower girls arrive... (With their ultra cool and super sweet mom!)

I love those dimples!

This picture makes my ankles hurt!

Meanwhile it took the guys about thirty minutes to get ready so they were just driving me nuts at the venue!
Thinking they are "all that"...

At this point the girls are late, and the "nervous" waiting begins...

Jed's boutonniere

soon nerves will lead to goofiness...

Told ya...

I don't know what to say...
The photographer assured me they were just hamming it up for her at this point...
(Yet, I still felt the need to share it with y'all... I guess I'm a bit sick and twisted too.)

The ceremony:

Our Venue in St. George, Maine

Guests arriving and being greeted by the sweet lady in the scarf.

The program fans Allison & I made (with a little help from Dakota!)

Our amazing musician!

It was such a perfect, sunny day with a light breeze...

I guess it's time to begin...

Yep, here I come...

So sweet!

(I think someone just told her she wasn't getting paid...)

I won't bore you with the recessional...
But look how happy these two are!

Yep, there's my Katy!
Thanks for listening,

  1. I love her flowers! The purple photographs so well...I've mentioned that to my girls but their university colors are purple and white so neither one wants to go there : )

    Looks like a lovely day!

  2. It's all pretty, but those flowers are just gorgeous! That deep purple is the new "in" color. I just heard it on one of the daytime shows.
