My First Award & A Giveaway....

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Saturday was an exciting day around my blog... Sparky posted her first installment of "Spark Notes"... and  I won my First Blog Award... Jackie over at My Perfect Little World Gave me the Sunshine Award... (Sparky totally took credit...)

The rules for accepting this award are:

- Put the logo on your blog or within your post

- Pass the award onto 12 bloggers

- Link to the nominees within your post

- Let them know they received this award by commenting on their blog

- Share the love & link to the person from whom you received this award

So, I would like to pass this award on to the following:
(In no particular order...)

Katie at Paisley and Polka Dots

(I had so many more I wanted to give this to... you my bloggy friends are all like "Sunshine" to me!)

I was so excited about this I decided it is time for another giveaway...

Saturday I was out shopping for stuff for Cate's 18th Birthday Party this coming weekend and I spotted the cutest tote bag....

Here take a look.. I think you'll see why I like it so much...

Her sense of humor totally cracks me up...

Can you see what this says?
"High Maintenance doesn't even begin to cover it"

I saw this and knew it was going home with me...
But here is the thing...
I don't need another tote bag...
I have so many that I made a pact with the Axeman that if I get one. I'll part with one...
I love all my current tote bags, so this little cutie and it's surprise contents needs to come live with one of you guys.

  5. Congrats on your award! You have a great blog. Thank you also for passing it along. :-)

What do I have too much of...hmmm...currently, it would be too many building supplies and tools scattered around my kitchen. These home improvement projects are driving me a little nuts. Great bag!!

  6. i don't follow/know 12 bloggers!!!! now what?

but i'm honored i'm on your awards list :)

i'll enter your giveaway, though...what do i have too much of?

too much kid art! my 5yo son gets 5 pieces of paper to draw on during naptime, but always swindles me out of more...he's actually drawn the nemo movie, scene by scene, on a small ream of paper! i can't just throw away all that work, but really? 2 small fish on one 8x11? ack! then there's the kid murals...in permanent marker...in both kid bedrooms, the hallway, and some in our living room. we did discover recently, however, that even though magic eraser doesn't erase permanent marker magically or otherwise, a quick swipe of paint will do the trick :) (pun sorta intended).

i have too much kid art and not enough space, paint or patience to channel it creatively :)

    Love the bag!

Lets see...what do I have too much of??? Pounds, holiday decorations, sewing projects, candles. Hmmmm...I think my final answer will be...lists. I have lists for everything. They are everywhere. In the kitchen, on my desk, in my purse, in my car, on my desktop and my husband's laptop...and now I have put lists here too. LOL

  16. Way to go on your award! Also, I really enjoyed your "Spark Notes" contribution. What a talented writer!

I have too much dust in my attic, too much stuff in my closets (the kids should have taken with them when they moved out,) too much "junk in my trunk," & too much gray in my roots.

  20. Thanks so much for my 1st Blog Award!

I figure you must be as "messed" up as I am for reading my blog, then, I read yours and yes, you are. Your fugitive story is hilarious, every time I think about it, I crack up!

Really, thanks again and keep up the great work on your blog and all you do for your family!
