I can't believe how long it been... I have yet to go this long between posts!

I have been busy, busy, busy here in Maine. My Mom is exceedingly grateful we came, and is slowly coming to terms with the reality of her situation. She was humoring me earlier in the week, but I have called her bluff a few times. We have had a few tearful moments, as she realizes the reality of hers and my Step-dad's situation.

We have had some good moments too... They are adoring seeing the girlies and the Girlies are loving being back in Maine. They feel like they are home here and love it... they have started in on their dad and I big time to move back here... Ahhh... to be a teen again and see the world in black and white... where everything is possible... I pray the world doesn't kick that out of them too young...

I still need a lot of prayer.. please keep it coming... I need to stand in the gap quite a bit here and fine myself dropping into bed exhausted at night. There are days I barely find a moment to myself... pray I give those moments to the Lord... I need his strength right now. Also please... please... please... pray for the axeman back in TN. We need to make a lot of hard choices as a family and his will be the hardest. (No matter which way he chooses.) He is also really missing his family. We know a lot of military families who are separated a lot for a lot longer, but our family does not work well that way... We are always together by choice... We do separate things, but rarely spend more then a few days apart... by choice. It may seem like a small thing, but we miss each other's different strengths a lot right now as we walk through this...

Thank you soo much for your encouraging words... I love all of you... even those of you who don't comment, but are praying all the same! Remind me to tell y'all a funny story in a few days.... I have a new one about a wandering breast prosthetic... (How's that for a teaser?)

Thanks for listening,

  1. We didn't expect you to be posting for a while, so this was a treat. Love you and praying!

  2. I'm so glad you updated. I've been praying for you and your family. The offer is still open, if there is anything I can do to help. Keep us posted.

  3. Praying for the Lord's strength in you. Love and hugs, the weather here is gorgeous, if that gives the girlies an incentive to stay here! :) can't wait to hear about the "wandering breast prosthetic" haha. Love and hugs.

  4. I am sorry. My thoughts are with you.
